on the United States Coast Guard in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, from the
artist's deployment,
May, 2002.
Departing Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, the USCGC Harriet Lane is given
an escort by PSU 305 as far as the famous GTMO Lighthouse. The 270'
cutter and the 25' Boston Whaler were on patrol in the area, as
added security since the U.S. began using GTMO as a holding area
for the Afghan
al-Qaida and Taliban detainees. (May, 2002)
