Painting
Fifth
in a series on the United States Coast Guard in Cuba.
Departing Guantanamo
Bay, Cuba, the USCGC Harriet Lane is given an escort by PSU 305 as far as the
famous GTMO Lighthouse. The 270' cutter and the 25' Boston Whaler were on patrol
in the area, as added security since the U.S. began using GTMO as a holding area
for the Afghan al-Qaida and Taliban detainees. (May, 2002)
